Mission
Investigating rumors of a raider gang growing itself in the plateaus of southern Nevada using stashes of pre-war technology and resources, two squads of Desert Rangers find themselves outnumbered and surrounded by a faction far larger and well-equipped than they had imagined. Calling for assistance, a Californian Recon Platoon arrives to assist the Rangers in ending the threat before the gang spreads into Arizona or California.
The mission consists of two played factions, the IndFor Desert Rangers who are trapped by the raiders in the valleys with quality armor and long-range armaments but no vehicles or other support assets, and the BluFor Recon Platoon with light armor, a mixture of weaponry focused on long-range engagements, in two squads. A larger frontal squad split into assault and base of fire elements, supported by a light infantry squad with explosive specialists, marksmen and snipers.
The Platoon also possess a number of light vehicles, a mixture of Jeeps and Land Rovers. A separate Logistic team operates Land Rovers with fuel and repair equipment, as well as an ambulance containing medical supplies operated by a Doctor who can assist Medics in a pinch.
The 'Vertibird' UH-H1 has a full crew with pilot, co-pilot navigator and comms assistant and two door gunners manning M240B MMGs, this element can provide light CAS, medevac and transport as decided by Command. Though the enemy is not known to have any substantial anti-aircraft elements, the light helicopter is still vulnerable to small arms fired and should be piloted with care.
