Description
Grozovian Republic, Balkans
1993
Following the election of a pro-Russian, anti-Muslim president in 1993 and the subsequent wave of anti-Muslim violence across Grozovia, armed conflict between Mujahideen fighters and government forces engulfs the country. In late 1993, with the backing of
pro-Muslim nations and clandestine support from United States Special Operations Command, the scattered insurgency forms into the Northern
Brotherhood Coalition (NBC). At great cost, the Coalition takes control of most of Northern Grozovia and undertakes serious entrenching operations
as the winter stalemate sets in. The battered Grozovian Republic Army (GRA), with the help of the Russian Federation and their FSB advisors,
regroups and reconsolidates.
Early spring 1994
Having licked their wounds and received fresh troops and equipment, the GRA launches a large scaled counteroffensive, codenamed
Operation Staghound, with the goal of retaking Northern Grozovia.
