Description
With the increasing tensions between core NATO states and the rising CSAT power, there has been a rise in hardline politics and civil wars across the world. Notably, the Philippines has become a hotbed of militant activity due to its strategic location in the Pacific, as well as its split stance on both hegemonic entities. This has caused establishment powers to favor a pro-NATO alignment, while hardliners and dissidents have called for CSAT concessions.
This position has lead the island nation to take a paradoxical stance of increasingly nationalistic stances of isolationist economic practices and trying to monopolize political representation of ethnic Filipinos around the world, while at the same time participating in more peacekeeping operations around various war zones in the world in an effort to maintain their standing in the international community.
