Description
As part of some attempt to seek reparations from the French government, a coalition of North African nations have received backing from CSAT to conduct a full scale invasion of the island of Malden, with the intent of imposing economic punishment on France. This is also clearly an attempt by CSAT to gain a foothold into Western Europe. A NATO task force had been sent to the island to push back the invasion, but have been forced to retreat due to sanctions from core CSAT states and entrenched units at the island's airport. In response, CTRG units have been sent into Malden to establish a resistance amongst the remnants of the Malden Defense Force and police units, as well as any civilian militias. With their aid, NATO command hopes to put pressure on the rear CSAT lines to allow a second invasion.
