Description
Six months ago, the company discovered that an ex-employee, Doctor Birk, had taken control of a disused facility in Fallujah, Iraq, established during American occupation. We have no idea who he had under his payroll or what his exact project was, but we know it involved modifying and weaponizing a virus strain our labs were researching before the samples were stolen.
We sent for a Retrieval Team a week ago, and they went into the complex somewhere around 48 hours ago.
In the past hour, we managed to establish contact with them. Apparently the transport team got ambushed by local Cultists, who then went on to attack the laboratory and caused the viral leak. The entry team, however, managed to track down the samples, eliminated Doctor Birk and left the facility.
The Retrieval Team needs assistance, the virus has infected a vast majority of the populace and Cultists have taken control of core areas of the city, somehow avoiding attack by the infected. Civilians should either have evacuated in the early stages of the outbreak or are dead or dying.
