Description
2045: 10 years after the NATO invasion of the Republic of Altis and Stratis, and the subsequent restoration of the civilian government, remnants of the Akhanteros regime have risen in insurgency against the new government, taking control of both the former capital of Pyrgos and many areas surrounding the city, further expanding to more remote parts of the island. New Altis Armed Forces (NAAF) garrisons are either combat ineffective or too spread out to effectively respond to the situation, and NATO is too hesitant to commit troops immediately after pulling out of the country.
Fortunately, many private military companies still remain on the island to help restore order, most prominently ION Corporation's new Tactical Movement and Target Management (TMTM) outfit, who have been deployed immediately to help contain the situation. Most prominent among their objectives is searching for the former head military researcher of the Akhanteros regime: Dr. Hladas, an important figure due to his cooperation with CSAT research teams and subsequent knowledge of potential classified military projects. His escape during the insurgency's outbreak endangers the nation, as well as global political stability.
