Description

Episode 3 of Freedom Wars (aka: Ghost makes Holiday OPs in the week before the Holiday).

USMC Forces move on the island of Dingor to liberate it from CSAT Control, making the Oil Reserves on the island theirs to take instead. The USMC must also rescue the remaining Dingor Military Forces to assist them in this endeavor.

Briefing

Due to the incredible success of Freedom Company's various liberation missions, we've been selected for the task of introducing Democracy to another group in need. The island of Dingor, a small patch of land near South America, recently discovered that beneath its lands lied a ENORMOUS amount of that sweet sweet liquid: Oil. They began work on extracting it immediately, which drew the attention of our good friends, CSAT. Over the last few weeks, CSAT has eliminated most of the standing forces on Dingor, and removed nearly all of its civilian populus. This is where we come in.

The last remnants of Dingor forces got a message out to the US before they were captured, pleading for assistance. Freedom Company is being deployed to the island to Dingor for an operations. Naturally, CSAT Forces would expect an attack like this to occur on FREEDOM DAY, so we're going to be sneaky... we're attacking the night beFOURTH. The mission has three tasks:

The primary force of Freedom Company will storm the beaches north of Maruko, where the CSAT forces have devoted their main force. The attack will be hard and fast, utilizing the support of the USS Democracy to get our foothold.

Meanwhile, a special task force, 'Team America World Police' will be inserted next to the prison to rescue the remaining Dingor forces. They will then escort the forces to a nearby supply depot for re-arming, after which they will work with us on completing the final objective.

Naturally the Oil itself is the final and most important objective. Seizing the Oil Control Center is the primary goal for this operation, and if successful, the Dingor Government has promised the US drilling rights for a majority of the country. Both forces will move through the towns that lie in the direction of the Control Center, removing enemy forces as needed. Once secured, victory will be ours.

Notes

  • INDFOR (Dingor) Forces spawn in Barracks in 'Jail.' Because I didn't want to fiddle with locks, you *can* exit your cells before BLUFOR rescues you. However, this will almost certainly result in your death. Please consider this if you decide to ignore my request that you wait the short moment before BLUFOR rescues you.
  • The Mk41 VLS has an *Incredible* splash zone. Please seat yourself accordingly as to not get 'Splashed.'
  • Certain boxes have weapons in them. If your slot does not call for that weapon, please do not take it. This was so the mission flow would be extra cool, but you can easily ruin it by taking what isn't yours.
  • Speaking of boxes, the boxes in the square of green lights are INDFOR resupply, the boxes in the square of blue lights are BLUFOR resupply.
  • Every Laser Designator should relay the information back to the VLS. The Weapons Officer should make sure to lock target before firing.
  • Certain vehicles respawn in places where others can get to them. Please don't take vehicles if that's not your slot.
